Before heading back home from Essen Spiel, with lots of free time before the flight, we explored Essen and while it’s a fair walk between the train station and opposite side of town it was well worth it. Hipster relaxed vibe with truly awesome coffee and a great menu and very friendly staff, it was well worth the walk. Near the canal also, so beautiful area of the city and open spacing to relax outside, both tables and also a couple of very comfy sofas. Very highly recommended.

Great place when the sun is shining on Essen's green center. The coffee is solid barista quality and the cakes are handmade. We had a couple of cheese cakes. All have been served by a super friendly host. Happy to come back!

Probably the only good coffee I had during my 20 day long stay in Essen, and they also add a small ice-cream, which was such a nice detail. The breakfast was amazing as well! Everything fresh and served by lovely staff.
